The Uncomplicated Life

My dad used to say, "Life is simple but our choices make it complicated." I'm paraphrasing.

Sometimes, crazy stuff happens to you but a good rule to solving problems is to keep it simple. Eliminate as many outside variables as possible. Don't leave room to blame others for failures that you had a high stake in.

I've been in this phase of uncomplicating my life. Doing regular cleaning so that when its time to really do chores, I'm not scrubbing and sweating over a stain I could have pretreated. Not sweating over or chasing after different people in my life. There are friendships that are worth it but its a two way street. I'm not good at letting go or giving up but sometimes its the best. Like when you eat bad food that doesn't agree with you, the process of letting go sucks but you feel so much better after its out of you system.

“Some of us think holding on makes us strong, but sometimes it is letting go.” — Herman Hesse
