Isaiah promises that, ‘If you get rid of unfair practices, quit blaming victims, quit gossiping about other people’s sins, If you are generous with the hungry and start giving yourselves to the down-and-out, your lives will begin to glow in the darkness, your shadowed lives will be bathed in sunlight’ (vv.9–10 MSG). The light will be switched on. The secret will be revealed.

The Amazing Jonah

"Could it be that that person is in your life precisely as a divine invitation for you to grow and mature in your experience of God’s grace. Not just in receiving it but showing it to someone else. Not just mental ascent but letting it flow through you. Could it be that this is the next step of growth for you."

Sit down with Jonah 4. Think of the person and write down every trait that I hate.  Then pray. Then ask if I've ever displayed any trait that I wrote down.

Never Give Up

Wanted to share a quote from my morning Devotional. 

The great man (Winston Churchill) arose to speak: ‘Young men; never give up, never give up, never give up.’

‘Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never – in nothing, great or small, large or petty – never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense.  Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.’

Conflict with those who hate and attack us

If you are being unfairly attacked, follow David’s example of prayerfulness and honesty before God. At the same time ask God to help you overcome bitterness and hatred.

‘The way I define love is by using the fruit of the Spirit, which starts with love. I believe that joy is love rejoicing, peace is love at rest, patience is love waiting, kindness is love interacting, goodness is love initiating, faithfulness is love keeping its word, gentleness is love empathising, and self-control is love resisting temptation.’

Relationships

1. For someone to love you whom you have reservations about 

2. For you to love someone who is selfish and careless

3. For you to love someone who wants to use you and abuse you 

4. For someone to love you that is selfish and careless, looking for a weak willed woman to control 

5. To love someone who is not that into you 

I cried today. To love someone that sweet and caring. Who grills steak for you and plans picnics with you. Someone who wants to see you happy but just doesn't want you. It's heartbreaking.

But I cast my desire for love onto God. I cast my desire for emotional support onto God. I cast my for kindness onto God. I cast my desire for sex onto God. For He cares for me.
